The Golden Circle Tour & Saga Valley

Golden circle and the Saga valley tour offers a unique diversety of landscape and historic sites. We will travel through the þjórsárdalur valley (Saga valley) and explore the settlement farm Stöng, a rebuilt house from the first years of icelandic settlement. This region was burried in ash in the year 1104 by the mighty volcano Hekla along with the farm Stöng. From here we will travel west through lush countiside to the famous sites of Gullfoss waterfall and Geysir hotsprings. Last but not the leas will be the national park of Þingvellir where icelands parliament was founded at the base of the tectonic rifts.
